About Our Group

The Graphene and Nanomaterials Group at GAM Lab is a research group focused on the study and application of graphene and other nanomaterials. Led by Dr. Arash Ghazitabar, the group aims to explore the unique properties and potential of these materials for various technological advancements.

The Graphene and Nanomaterials Group collaborates with multidisciplinary teams from both academia and industry to combine expertise and accelerate the translation of their research into practical applications. They also actively participate in scientific conferences and publish their findings in leading peer-reviewed journals to contribute to the advancement of nanomaterials research.

Aims & Scope

This Group has worked on Graphene and its applications since 2013 and has published some research papers about graphene structures and relative applications, Chapter Book about synthesis of 3D graphene materials in 2023 and also one International PCT (PCT/IB2022/051359).

The Group succussed to gain 5 industry-funded researches and 3 Scientific Grants in the field of graphene and its applications which were well done at TRL level of 4 to 6. The main scope of this research group is about synthesis of 2D & 3D Graphene Composites for various applications include:

Leader of Group

Dr Arash Ghazitabar

Dr. Arash Ghazitabar is Assistant Professor at Department of Pigments and Glazes of Institute of Color Science and Technology. He received the BS (2011) from University of Tehran, MS (2013) and PhD (2019) degrees in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology in Iran. After spending 2 years as a postdoctoral researcher at Amirkabir University of Technology (Granted by Iran National Science Foundation), he joined the Department of Pigments and Glazes, Institute of Color Science and Technology as an Assistant Professor, in 2023. He has started his career as group leader of Graphene and Nanomaterials at GAM Lab since 2014.
